Privacy Policy

    Last updated: December 20, 2025

InnsynAI (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides AI-powered tools that help organisations search and understand their own documents. We take privacy seriously and aim to handle personal data responsibly and transparently.

This privacy policy applies to the InnsynAI service, including the InnsynAI Microsoft Teams application.

This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

    Information We Collect

    • Account information (such as name and email address)
    • Organisation or tenant identifiers
    • Usage and technical data, including queries, feature usage, and basic logs for security and reliability
    • Content you provide, such as documents you upload or sync from connected services, and questions you submit to the product

    How We Use Information

    • To provide and operate the InnsynAI service
    • To process and index documents for search and retrieval
    • To generate AI-powered answers and summaries you request
    • To maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues
    • To measure usage and improve performance and reliability
    • To comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your data to train public or general-purpose AI models.

    AI Processing

InnsynAI uses third-party AI services to generate answers and summaries based on the content you provide. This involves sending limited portions of data to those services strictly to deliver the functionality you requested. Data is not shared for advertising purposes.

    Third-Party Integrations

If you choose to connect third-party services, InnsynAI will only access data required to provide the integration.

    Google Drive

If you connect a Google account, InnsynAI uses the Google Drive API with the drive.file scope. This allows access only to files that you explicitly select using the Google file picker.

    • Read the contents of selected files
    • Sync those files into your InnsynAI workspace so they can be searched

InnsynAI does not have access to your entire Google Drive and cannot modify or delete files. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

InnsynAI’s use of Google data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Slack, Microsoft Teams, Confluence, and Notion

If enabled, InnsynAI may process messages, pages, or documents from these services to answer questions or sync knowledge into your workspace. Only data relevant to providing the service is processed.

    Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with trusted service providers (such as hosting, authentication, and AI inference providers) only as necessary to operate InnsynAI. These providers are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

    Data Access and Isolation

InnsynAI is designed so that data is logically isolated by organisation. Content uploaded or synced to one organisation is not accessible to users of another organisation.

    Data Retention

Data is generally retained for as long as your organisation uses the service. Documents and related data may be deleted when removed by an administrator or upon request, subject to reasonable technical and legal limitations. Some minimal logs may be retained for security, auditing, or billing purposes.

    Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may request access to or deletion of your data by contacting privacy@innsynai.app. We will make reasonable efforts to respond.

    Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data, including authentication and access controls. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent version.
